Rustin Lee Horton, 27, of Pampa, passed away on September 6, 2017 in Roberts County. Services will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Briarwood Church, with Rev. Lynn Hancock, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Rustin was born on January 27, 1990 in Pampa. Rustin attended school in Pampa, and outside of living in North Carolina for a few years, he’s been a life-long resident of Pampa. Rustin would eventually meet the love of his life, Callan Thurman and they would wed in Pampa on July 30, 2017. He worked in the oil and gas industry with Triangle Well Service for several years. When he was younger, he was an avid motocross rider and competitor where he earned a room full of trophies. Rustin was an extremely motivated man who put a hundred percent into all of his endeavors. He was a sweet and giving man who put others first and always lent a helping hand to those in need. Above all Rustin was a committed father, husband, son, brother, grandchild, and son-in-law and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Rustin was preceded by his paternal grandmother, Jackie Barker and by his cousin, John Sullins. Survivors include his wife, Callan Horton of the home; his two daughters, Sophia Rodriguez and GraceLee Horton of the home; his mother, Anita Webb of Pampa; his father, Rusty Horton and wife Jeanne of Pampa; his sister, Kristy Parker and husband Jeremey of Amarillo; his brother, Tyson Pounds of Plainview; mother-in-law, Andora Covalt and husband Johnny of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; father-in-law, Steve Thurman and wife Sheri of Amarillo; paternal grandfather, Clarence Horton of Moundville, Kansas; maternal grandparents, Gary and Kathy Campbell of Pampa; his aunt, Lisa Love and husband John of Amarillo; three brothers-in-law, Zachary Roberts of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Colton Thurman of Amarillo, and Blake Roberts and wife Haley of McLean; his step-brother, Zach Mitchell of Amarillo; his step-sister, Kaitlyn Mosley and husband Matthew of Amarillo; best friends, Dylan and Kenzie Cain of Pampa; and a host of other Horton, Campbell, Thurman, and Smith family members and extended family. Memorials may be made to a charity of choice. The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:30 PM Monday, September 11, 2017, at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
