Ruth Clark Golleher, 74, of Pampa, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2018 in Pampa.
Services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor of Central Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Ms. Golleher was born May 2, 1943 in Wheeler County to Lawton and Cleo Clark. She graduated from Fox High School in Fox, Oklahoma in 1962. She moved to Pampa in 1962 and began working at Highland General Hospital as a nurse’s aide for several years. On July 12, 1965, she married Jim Golleher in Pampa; he passed away in 2014. Ruth worked for Pampa Independent School District as a bus driver for many years before she began her career with Homeland Grocery Store. She worked as a checker up until it closed the store in Pampa. Ruth enjoyed reading and was an avid pen collector. She was a diehard Dallas Cowboy fan and supported them through thick and thin. Ruth was a Baptist and loved being around people, especially her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and three sisters, Polly Reames, Dortha McNutt, and Marie Woodruff.
Survivors include her son, Dennis Golleher and wife Sarah of Pampa; daughter, Jamie Golleher and fiancé Daniel Chavez of Pampa; three grandchildren, Larri Golleher of Duncan, OK, Kade Golleher of Norman, OK, and Carolyn Golleher of Pampa; numerous nieces and a nephew.
