Santa Ana Castro de Hernández, 77, of Pampa, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025 in Lubbock.
Services will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 14, 2025 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Guadalupe Mayorga, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Mrs. Hernandez will be available for viewing at the funeral home from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 and from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 13. 2025.
Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at the Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel.
Santa Ana was born on July 26, 1947 in Puerto de Cabras, Guanajuato to Heron Castro Lopez and Marcelina Paniagua Pardo Lopez. She married Luis Hernandez on August 1, 1966. They moved to Lamar, Colorado in 1992 where they made their home for 30 years. In 2022, they moved to Pampa. Santa Ana was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Los servicios serán a las 10:00 a. m. el viernes 14 de febrero de 2025 en la Iglesia Católica St. Vincent de Paul y la Rev. Guadalupe Mayorga, pastor, oficiará. Seguirá el entierro en el cementerio de Fairview bajo la dirección de los directores de funeraria y crematorio de Carmichael-Whatley.
La Sra. Hernández estará disponible para ser vista en la funeraria de 10:00 a. m. a 8:00 p. m. el miércoles 12 de febrero de 2025 y de 8:00 a. m. a 8:00 p. m. el jueves 13 de febrero de 2025.

She enjoyed cooking, watching her telenovelas, and shopping. Santa Ana also enjoyed working in her garden, growing vegetables and tending to her roses. She was the life of the party and loved to sing and dance. She could make any gathering a good time. Santa Ana will be remembered as a good mother and grandmother. She loved her family dearly and will be deeply missed.
Santa Ana was preceded in death by her parents, Heron and Marcelina Lopez; one son, Manuel Hernandez; and four siblings, Lorenzo Castro, Guadalupe Castro, Maria Castro, and Cecilia Castro.
She is survived by her husband, Luis Hernandez of the home; five children, Luz Maria Aguilar and husband Thomas of Pampa, Leo Hernandez of Lamar, Colorado, Ana Enciso and husband Raul of Pampa, Adriana Hernandez of Pittsburg, Texas, and Nancy Hernandez of Pampa; six siblings, Jaime Castro, Leonel Castro, Lilia Castro, Leticia Castro, Alfonso Castro, and Margarita Castro; 19 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
