Amarillo and formerly of Miami

Sharon Easley, 76, of Amarillo, and formerly of Miami, passed away on November 9, 2023, in Amarillo.

 

Services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, November 13, 2023, at the First Baptist Church of Miami with Brother Dennis Williams, a retired Baptist minister, officiating. Burial will follow at the Miami Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

 

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 6:30 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.

 

Sharon was born on January 29, 1947, in Borger to Jack and Juanita Ledbetter. As a young girl she moved to Dumas where she grew up and graduated from high school. After graduating, Sharon would start her family by having her two children, Jamie and Sean. Later, she enrolled into cosmetology school to begin her occupation in hairdressing and cosmetology, a career that spanned 20 years.

 

Sharon would meet Mickey Easley in Wheeler and they married on June 21, 1986, in Mobeetie. Mickey would later precede her in death on February 2, 2014. She was a supportive mother and grandmother who tried to attend all the grandchildren’s sporting events and extracurricular activities. Sharon was an avid reader and learner. She also liked the arts where she enjoyed painting. She will be remembered as a strong woman of faith who was the matriarch and always supported her family. Sharon will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and by a brother, Jack Wendell Ledbetter.

 

Sharon is survived by two children, Jamie Almanza and husband Alfosno of Pampa, and Sean Arganbright and wife Kristin of Panhandle; four grandchildren, Chance Almanza and wife Amanda, Seth Almanza and partner Quila, all of Pampa, Makenzy Arganbright and fiancée Corban Lehman of Dalhart, and Ethan Arganbright of Panhandle; five greatgrandchildren, Kennedy, Kimber, James, Scarlett, and Ila; four sisters, Louise Phillips and husband Doug of Oklahoma, Carol Cross and husband Ronnie of Manford, Oklahoma, Lana Graham of Amarillo, and Darla Smith of Bushland; a brother, David Stump; and other extended family members.
