Sheila Downs Broadbent, 66, of Pampa, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022 in Pampa.
Services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Pastor Paul Nachtigall, pastor at Highland Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Sheila was born on November 10, 1955 in Pampa to Shellie and Hattie Cook Downs. She was raised in Pampa, where she attended school. Sheila moved to Oklahoma for a few years before moving back home to Pampa. She was baptized at Briarwood Full Gospel Church. Sheila was a homemaker for many years before being employed at Clarendon College in the maintenance department. She enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. Sheila loved nothing more than spending time with her family. She always had a smile on her face and was truly just a happy person. Sheila was a shoulder to lean on for many and willing to help anyone in need, even if it meant she had to go without. She was mom to more people than just her kids. Sheila will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all those that knew her.
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents; and all of her aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her 4 children, Megan Soria and husband Felipe, Melissa Woodruff and husband Matt, Timmy Broadbent, and Chris Broadbent, all of Pampa; 3 siblings, Jane Campbell and husband Leonard of Florida, Jean Miller of Pampa, and Tommy Downs and wife Denise of Pampa; 8 grandchildren, Mattie Broadbent, Hawk Broadbent, Caison Broadbent, Laynie Soria, Analea Soria, Zoie Soria, Gunner Segovia, and Lily Woodruff; and numerous other extended family members and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Megan Mojica and Kimberly Fausett with Interim Hospice and Tanner Olsen at Pampa Regional Medical Center for the excellent care they gave Sheila.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 55 W. Wacker Drive, Suite 1150, Chicago, Illinois, 60601.
