Sidney May Lancaster Lynch, 86, of Pampa, passed away December 28, 2017 in Pampa. Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, December 30, 2017, at Central Baptist Church, with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Sidney was born March 10, 1931 on the Seitz farm in Mobeetie to Curtis and Nettie Seitz Lancaster. During her school years, she grew up on the Lancaster farm. Sidney was a 1948 graduate of Mobeetie High School, and after graduation she attended Draughn’s Business College in Amarillo. She met the love of her life, Floyd Lynch, in Amarillo. They married on April 23, 1949 in Hereford where they lived for three years before moving to Pampa. Floyd preceded her in death in 2015 after 65 ½ years of marriage. Sidney worked for Montgomery Ward, and worked for Cabot and IRI for 27 years. She loved reading and studying the Bible and enjoyed quilting. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Morse and husband Larry of Pampa; four sisters, Betty Haines and husband Bob of Pampa, Ines Loveday of Mobeetie, Ora Swarts of Mt. Vernon, and Laura Watson of Odessa; three brothers, Nathan Lancaster and wife Nelda of Pampa, Aaron Lancaster and wife Arica of Mobeetie, and Garland Lancaster and wife Anna Mae of Wray, Colorado; two grandsons, Jason Reed and wife Jamie of Bushland, and Preston Reed of Amarillo; two great grandchildren, Brayden and Addilyn Reed of Bushland; a sister-in-law, Inila Jordan of Amarillo; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Central Baptist Church, Youth Fund or Family Fund, 513 E. Francis, Pampa, Texas 79065; or a charity of choice.
