Stacy Watson

Stacy Watson, 55, of White Deer and formerly of Amarillo, passed away on September 3, 2021 in Pampa.

Celebration of Life services will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Chaparral Hills Baptist Church of Amarillo with Pastor Alan Burkhalter, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Stacy's service will be recorded and uploaded to the funeral home's YouTube page at a later time.

Stacy will be available for viewing from 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Sunday and 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Monday.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at the funeral home.

The family requests that any and all medical staff to feel free to wear work clothing to the service in memory of Stacy.

Stacy was born on November 14, 1965 in Amarillo to Virginia and D.L. Jones. She grew up and attended school in Amarillo. After high school, she enrolled in the Amarillo College nursing program and earned her RN license. Stacy worked at both Northwest Texas Hospital and Baptist Saint Anthony’s while in Amarillo. She later met her husband Drew Watson and they married on August 9, 2008 in Pampa. When she moved to Pampa, Stacy worked for Accolade Healthcare and the Pampa Regional Medical Center. Her profession was very important to her, she had a servant’s heart and she loved helping people. But what brought her the most joy and pride was her family, especially her grandbabies.  

Stacy was preceded in death by her father; a son, Rickey Rogers; and a granddaughter, Adalee Rogers; by her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Her survivors include her husband, Drew Watson of the home; a daughter, Cassie Jackson and husband Perry of Amarillo; a son, Jeffery Rogers and wife Cierra of Amarillo; her mother, Virginia Jones of Amarillo; two stepdaughters, Shelbie Watson of Amarillo, and Kelsey Smith and husband Trevor of Valley Center, Kansas; a daughter-in-law, Lacie Rogers- Ashley and husband Chris of Amarillo; five sisters, Deborah Schwab and husband Gary, Arlene Guhl and husband Bobby, all of Amarillo, Darlene Cain and husband Mike of Stinnett, Becky Granger and husband Kenny of Springfield, Missouri, and Trisha Jackson and husband David of Hope Mills, North Carolina; a brother, Mark Jones and wife Pearl of Amarillo; eleven grandbabies, Samuel, Deegan, Lucy, Mattie, Cason, Kuper, Haley, Brystol, Mason, Audrey, and Nora; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Frames of Love 5715 Mary Dell Dr., Amarillo, TX 79109 or the American Heart Association National Center 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231.
