Stan Franke

Stan Franke, 68, of Pampa, passed away on January 22, 2023 in Pampa.

Memorial services will be at 10:30 AM Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Michael Erickson, pastor, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Stan was born June 22, 1954 in Pampa to Roy E. and Mona Franke. He graduated from Pampa High School in 1973 and went on to attend Texas Tech University for a few years. When he returned to Pampa, Stan worked for Ingersoll Rand for several years. Stan also worked for Pepsi as a delivery driver. He later retired due to his loss of vision. Stan was an avid Chess player and continued to play via phone when he lost his eyesight. Stan also listened to many books on tape as well as the Bible. He was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church, where he enjoyed singing in the choir and was a faithful member. 

Stan was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his sister, Rosalee Jenkins and husband Jon of Gainesville; two nieces, Dulcie Lockhart and husband Doug and Joni Skiles all of Gainesville; and a great niece, Samantha Lockhart.
