Susan Alice Kane, 75, of Pampa, passed away May 7, 2019 in Pampa.
Services will be 10:00 AM Friday, May 10, 2019, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, with Bishop Morris Morgan and President Bryan Guymon, officiating. Cremation will follow the services, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Susan was born December 25, 1943 in Sacramento, California to Donald and Lila Belle Wilkinson. She married Ernest Alton Kane of April 1, 1969 and they moved to Pampa that same year where she had lived ever since. Ernest preceded her in death on May 9, 2009. Susan was known as a “people person” and loved working in the public at various restaurants in Pampa, such as Pizza Hut and Coney Island for many years. Her most recent job was at Braum’s where she worked for the past 10 years. Usually sharing a joke (some dirty) or two with everyone. She never desired for wealth, instead she loved spending her time and money on her children and grandchildren and the less fortunate. She once gave her car to someone in need, while she walked to work. She loved the Lord and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Susan enjoyed traveling and playing the slot machines. She loved the most spending time with her grandchildren, who called her Grandma Kane.
Survivors include five sons, Jerry Kane and wife Hannah, Charles Kane and wife Kathy, John Kane and Rebecca Hayes all of Pampa, James Kane and wife Ranea, of White Deer, and Leonard Kane of Plainview; a daughter, Donna Jean Kane of Pampa; a stepson, Randall Kane of Weirton, West Virginia; three brothers, David Darling and wife Ki of Killeen, Donald Darling and wife Phyllis of Port Angeles, Washington, and Lance Darling and wife Toni of Folsom, California; son-in-law, Jerry Little of Pampa; two daughters-in-law, Gina Kane of Pampa and Nikki Morrison of Sacramento, California; 19 grandchildren: Kayla Sanchez, Christopher Kane, Brandon Kane, Heather Kane, Gavin Kane, Michael Kane, Susanne Jones, John (LJ) Morrison-Kane, Hunter Morrison-Kane, Emmy Morrison-Kane, Ashley Ponce, Gina Guerra, Brittney Tholen, Bridget Cox, Amber Robinson, Anthony Dedrick, Kimberly Carter, Jaselle Van Hout, and Joshuah Rutten. and 21 great grandchildren. Susan was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Jane Dedrick; granddaughter, Elizabeth Cox, and a great grandson, Ernest Travis, III.
