Thelma Mae Freeman, 101, of Pampa, passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021 in Amarillo.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Burial and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Thelma was born on August 3, 1920 in Utica, New York to Charles and Ella Tucker Nelson. She married James Freeman and he preceded her in death in 1978. Thelma and James spent time between Pampa and Denver before settling in Pampa during the 1970's. She enjoyed reading, taking walks, and cross stitching. Thelma loved animals, especially her cat, Baby. She was a member of the Central Baptist Church.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Linda Godfrey; her sister, Dorothy; and her granddaughter, Amy Petroski.
She is survived by her son, John Freeman; 4 granddaughters, Tammie Keough, Donna Corbin, Ashley Morehart and husband Ricky, and Amber Martinez and husband Jeremy; 14 great-grandchildren, Michael Keough and wife Emily, Kristen McNeaney and husband Brian, Kira Steverson and husband RJ, Cody Corbin and wife Kacey, and Haley Corbin, Abigail, Aaden and Adelynn Marquez, Madison, Oliver and Liam Petroski, Maddox and Lennox Morehart, and Kaleb Steadman; 5 great-great grandchildren; Madison and Connor McNeaney, Wyatt and Raegan Steverson and Gracelyn Corbin; and several nieces and nephews.
