Tim Hucks, 61, formerly of Pampa, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018 in Midland.
Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, September 10, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Beam, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Tim was born April 3, 1957 in Littlefield to Johnny R. and Loretta Hucks. He graduated from Dimmitt High School and went on to graduate from the Police Academy in Amarillo. Tim served as a police officer in Dimmitt for several years before he began his 36 year career with Texaco/Chevron. In 1979, he moved to Pampa and then moved to Midland in 2010. He married Debra Hickman on April 4, 1982 in Pampa. While in Pampa, he was a member of Bible Church and was very active in coaching his kids in baseball and soccer while they were growing up. Tim enjoyed playing golf and was an avid NASCAR fan and Pittsburgh Steeler fan. He was preceded by his father, Johnny R. Hucks; brother, Rickey Hucks; nephew, Tyler Hucks; father-in-law, Don Hickman; and mother-in-law, Sharon Hickman.
Survivors include his wife, Debra of the home; daughter, Jennifer Hucks of Lubbock; two sons, Tanner Hucks and wife Kirsten of Frisco, and Zach Hucks of Amarillo; brother, Kevin Hucks and wife Jan of Pampa; mother, Loretta Hucks of Pampa; and 5 grandchildren, Kambry and Kason both of Lubbock, Nixon and Lenox both of Frisco, and Kinley of Amarillo; two brothers-in-law, Mike Hickman and wife Ronda, and Kelly Hickman all of Casper, WY; sister-in-law, Sherry Smith and husband Randall of Grapevine; and numerous nieces and nephews.
