Toni Annette McClendon

Toni Annette Mills McClendon went home to be with her Savior on August 16, 2021.

Toni and Jeff's services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Briarwood Church with Pastor Jamisen Hancock, pastor, officiating. Graveside will follow at 3:00 PM at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Paducah. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. The service will be live streamed on the funeral home website. The family ask that face coverings be worn to the service.

She was born on March 17, 1964 to Doug and Rita Mills of Hugoton, Kansas. She participated in cheerleading, the 4H Club, and National Honors Society in high school. She also won many accolades as a talented seamstress. She graduated from Wichita State University with her associates and completed her court reporting certification at Amarillo College. She went on to faithfully serve in the Texas legal system for 33 years as a court reporter. She met her loving husband, Jeff McClendon, in Amarillo, TX and were married for 33 years.

Toni's sudden passing leaves an indescribable hole in her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She brought in and welcomed everyone she knew, a testimony to the love of her Savior Jesus. Her outgoing nature and spirit were gentle yet tempered with a quiet, unbending strength, and she brought joy and laughter to anyone who knew her.

Toni was preceded in death by her husband Jeff McClendon, niece Montana Beesley, and sister Lisa Mills.

She is survived by her sons: Collin, and his wife Naomi; Brycen, and his wife Sydnie, and, Alec; parents Doug and Rita Mills; siblings Renee Beesley and her husband Don, Stephanie Walkup and her husband Rick, Matt Mills and his wife Kyla.
