Tyler Berry, 54, of Santiago, Chile, formerly of Pampa, died October 22, 2017 in Lubbock. Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, October 30, 2017, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa, with Rev. Rick Parnell, retired Baptist minister, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Pampa under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Tyler was born January 16, 1963 in Pampa to William J. “Bill” and Donna Berry. He was a 1981 graduate of Pampa High School, a graduate of Texas Tech University in Lubbock, and a graduate of Emory University in Atlanta with a master’s degree in economics. After graduating from Texas Tech, Tyler worked for Thomas Cook Foreign Exchange, living in Dallas, Houston and Atlanta. In 1997, he moved to Santiago, Chile to begin his career with FedEx. Later, Tyler started his own investment company with his business partner, Matías “Maty” Folatre. He enjoyed traveling all over the world. He loved his cats, was multi-lingual, and loved talking to his mother on the phone almost every day. Tyler was a Christian and rededicated his life to Christ as a teenager. The family offers special thanks to Rev. Norman Rushing for locating AirMed to transport Tyler from Chile to Lubbock, and to Doug White for making the trip happen. Survivors include his mother, Donna Berry of Amarillo; a brother, William Todd Berry and wife Terri of Bakersfield, California; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and his friend and business partner, Matías “Maty” Folatre of Santiago, Chile.
