Valerie Roberts

Valerie Roberts, 50, of Pampa passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2020 in Amarillo.

No services are scheduled at this time.  Viewing will be Thursday, September 17, 2020 through Saturday, September 19, 2020.  Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Valerie was born April 16, 1970 in Hurst to Max and Judy Taylor.  She graduated from Pampa High School in 1988.  After high school she attended Frank Phillips College and later graduated from West Texas A & M University with a Bachelor of Arts degree.  Valerie had the opportunity to study abroad and travel Europe after college graduation. She worked at various jobs in Pampa, including the Pampa News for several years before her career with Pampa Independent School District.  In 2010, she started working at Pampa Junior High as an aide and later would become the junior high art teacher.  She married Jason Roberts in 2010 in Pampa.  Valerie was incredibly talented in all types of art and enjoyed studying art history.  She also enjoyed reading, fishing, and was passionate about all animals.  She will be missed by her family, coworkers, and friend. Valerie is now free to paint the skies.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Jason of the home; 2 daughters, Kaitlyn O’Brien of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Brittany Roberts of West Monroe, Louisiana; 2 sons, Grayson Roberts of West Monroe, Louisiana and David Gale O’Brien III of Allen; 3 grandchildren, Kamarran Anthony House, Kamila Adene Hill, and Spencer Allen-Ray Roberts; a brother, Robert Dale Taylor of Pampa; numerous nieces including Sierra Taylor of Denton, nephews, and cousins.
