Vernon Howard Woodward

Vernon Howard Woodward, 56, of Pampa, died March 1, 2018 in Amarillo. There are no services scheduled at this time. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Woodward was born August 17, 1961 in Pampa. He was a lifelong resident of Pampa, attending Pampa schools. Vernon was a longtime maintenance worker for the Dyer family. He loved to tinker in his rock garden at his apartment. He had a good heart for people and was always willing to help others. Vernon was a Christian. Survivors include three sons, Brandon Woodward, Christopher Woodward and Cordell Woodward, all of Pampa; his stepfather, Richard Dismuke of Pampa; a sister, Wanda Gardner and husband Bill of Pampa; a brother, Wayne Leon Woodward of Pampa; four grandchildren; and special cousins, Shane, Shelley and Cody Dyer, all of Pampa. Vernon was preceded in death by a brother, Norman Woodward; his mother, Gay Dismuke; and an aunt, Judy Haynes.
