Vivian Garrison, 88, of Pampa, passed away on June 27, 2019 in Pampa.
Services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, July 5, 2019 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Jim Sinyard, pastor of Carpenter’s Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Vivian was born on June 11th, 1931 in Boswell, Oklahoma to James and Elsie Turman. Vivian grew up alongside seven sisters and four brothers. When she was a young girl she enjoyed playing dolls with her sisters and grew up picking cotton. Vivian graduated high school in Lubbock. She married her sweetheart Willis E. “Buster” Garrison on December 13th, 1949 in Pampa. Vivian raised her family in the Pampa area where she was a beautician and cosmetologist for forty years. She also co-owned Rev. Bob Appliance.
Survivors include a daughter, Terry Jenkins of Pampa; a grandson, Tim Miller of Fritch; a granddaughter, Marcy Miller of Pampa; a brother Ray Turman and wife Petra of Amarillo; 2 sisters, Carol Morgan and husband Bill of Alabama, and Billie McMillan of Liberty Hills; seven great-grandchildren and ten great great-grandchildren.
Vivian was preceded in death by her husband Willis E. “Buster” Garrison on October 12, 1988; and both her parents.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial Processing, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38106.
