Warren Wiley “Pete” Pettit, 70, of White Deer, passed away Tuesday March 6, 2018 in Pampa.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 AM Friday, March 9, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church in Pampa with Rick Pearson, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Pete was born October 25, 1947 in Ventura, CA. He was a 1966 graduate of Pampa High School. He delivered fresh bread for over 30 years and installed Dish Network cable in Texas and Oklahoma. Pete and Kathy Sherrell were married in Abilene on July 30, 1990. He was a Golden Gloves featherweight boxing champ, a volunteer with the Optimist Club, and was an avid Harley rider. He loved opening his home for food and rest to those in need. He will be remembered as a legend in life.
Survivors his wife, Kathy of the home; 5 daughters, Sherri Pettit Driscoll and husband C. Brian of Pampa, Erica Pettit of Athens, Marcia Wilson and husband Steven of Hope, NM, Jill Brumley and husband Robert of Keller, Donna Flowers Pettit of Pampa; three sons, Ricky Joe Pettit of White Deer, Timmy Pete Pettit of Pampa, Michael Gerad Pettit of Athens; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and a brother by choice Don Willis of Pampa.
