William “Bill” Wrigley, 82, of Pampa, passed away April 25, 2019 in Pampa.
Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday April 30, 2019, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Hector Leal, Jr. officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Bill was born October 30, 1936 in Sioux City, Iowa to H. E. and Susan Wrigley. He joined the Army in 1957, serving until he was honorably discharged in 1962 as a Staff Sargent. Bill was a postman in California and later started his own painting business. Bill moved to Pampa and became an operator at Dorchester. On June 5, 1985 he married his beloved wife Mildred Wise in Reno, Nevada. Bill had a love for carpentry and was an avid diecast model car collector; he also enjoyed collecting timepieces and watching “Gunsmoke” and old westerns. Bill loved and adored his family, especially his grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his wife, Mildred Wrigley of the home; five sons, William Wrigley, Jr. of California, Patrick Wrigley of Idaho, Jim Wise and wife Shelley of Borger, Glenn Wise and wife Kimberly of Panhandle, and Randy Wise and wife Vicki of Borger; two daughters, Kimette Wells and husband Nathan of Fort Dodge, Iowa, and Becky Shipley and husband D. L. of Pampa; two sisters, Doris Buckner of Reno, Nevada, and Ella Cavins of California; 14 grandchildren, Kyle, Jimmy, Kristen, Laken, Stetson, Aspen, Megan, Heath, Trista, Tanner, Tyler, Tucker, Joel, and Austin; and 22 great grandchildren.
Bill will be available for viewing from 1:00 PM Sunday, April 28, 2019 until service time.
