William F. “Bill” Hensley of Pampa passed away Friday, March 9, 2018.
Services will be 10:00 Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Memory Gardens Mausoleum with Pastor Vondel Stevens, pastor of St. Paul United Methodist Church, officiating. Entombment will be in Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Bill was born in Winston -Salem, NC on December 10, 1937. He moved with his family to El Paso in 1946. He served in the U.S. Navy in the mid 1950’s aboard the USS Hornet after which he returned to El Paso, married and became a father. He was a journeyman electrician. In 1971 he became a Realtor/Trainer. He retired in 2001 and moved to the Texas panhandle. Bill made friends everywhere he went. Everyone who knew him will remember him.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Lois and his beloved son Rick. Other survivors are his two precious sisters, Norma Welsh and husband Ray, and Peggy Cosby and husband Hank; seven nieces, Cathy, Vicki, Robin, Linda, Jan, Suzanne and Erica; three nephews, Tim, Ben, and Allen and their spouses. He will be especially missed by his best friend since 2nd grade, Billie Wagner, special friends, Joe and Irene Ortega, Angelo Amoriello and many other wonderful friends in El Paso as well as Pampa. Maybe most of, he will be missed by his dog and best friend, Wolf.
